ETSW-1
EWS Pro TIG Series ETSW-1 Momentary Switch
OEM: EWS Pro (Everlast Welding Supplies). Button type: flat plate.
What this switch is
Single-button momentary switch shipped on EWS Pro TIG torches and as a separately purchasable retrofit switch for Everlast and similar entry-to-mid welder lines. Functions identically to the SW-1F — momentary contact for HF start initiation.
How the Button Clip GTAW fits this switch
The ETSW-1 has a slightly thicker housing than the SW-1F. Both fit the same Button Clip GTAW form factor.
The Button Clip GTAW grips the switch at its outer body geometry only. There's no compressive force on the internal printed circuit board (PCB) or the momentary mechanism beneath it — which is the failure mode that kills these switches when they're mounted with electrical tape or zip ties. For the full engineering reason behind this, see why your TIG button keeps failing.
Recommended Button Clip GTAW size
Clip size is determined by your torch handle outer diameter, not by the switch itself — the switch is the same size regardless of what torch you mount it on. Use the size guide to match your torch handle OD to the right Button Clip GTAW size.
- Small — Series 9 / WP-9 air-cooled torches (~0.55" OD handles)
- Medium — Series 17 / WP-17 / PTW-17 (~0.71" OD handles — the most common production torch)
- Large — Series 26 / WP-26 / Magnum PRO-26 (~0.83" OD handles)

Install notes for this switch
Mounting steps are the same across all three switch families covered here. Snap the Button Clip GTAW onto your torch handle, drop the switch into the clip housing so its body seats against the cradle, and rotate the assembly to put the button under your thumb. For step-by-step install photos see install instructions, or the longer guide on how to mount a TIG torch button switch.
